Arts Internships

School can prepare you for a great many things, but once you complete your education, you need to develop the skills that will prepare you for the real world. As you enter the workforce, one way to gain an advantage over the competition is to experience an internship. Internships give you the tools and practical training you need to land the job of your dreams. Summer internships, specifically, are an excellent way to supplement your book learning with some creative, on-the-job training. Interns who gain valuable experience have a leg up when they search for new jobs. By shadowing different industry professionals you can learn the ins and outs of a specific industry and company. You'll get a better idea of where you fit in, what technologies and processes you need to learn and what specific types of projects you like to work on as a creative professional. With so many internship programs offered throughout the year, you'll be able to choose the specific internship experience that will propel you to a long and satisfying career in the Arts.
