Post Production Internships
Post-production, as name suggests, is the general term for all stages of production that occur after the actual end of shooting and/or recording the completed work. It's a part of the filmmaking process and happens in the making of motion pictures, television, videos, audio recordings, radio programs, photography and digital art. A post production internship will help you gain hands-on experience in editing television programs/soundtracks, writing, recording soundtracks, adding visual special effects, CGI (computer-generated imagery) and transferring a film to video or data with telecine and Color Grading. A post production internship will help you learn the post-production cycle from rough cut to screen. After acquiring necessary essential technical skills some of you could become assistant editors too.The key duties of a post production internship may include material/footage management, data management and duplication, assistant editorial work, media logging, media inventory organization, FCP project organization and cleanup, raw/jpg processing, image retouching, archiving, watermarking, maintaining a companywide database, logging, transcribing, digitizing, organizing footage and helping on Final Cut Pro as needed.
