2013 Engineering Internships

One of the few ways to get engineering experience outside of school is to experience an engineering internship. Internships give you on-the-job experience, help you learn whether you and that industry are a good match, and can provide you with valuable connections and references. For specialized industries, such as aerospace, manufacturing and electronics, internships remain one of the most rewarding and enlightening opportunities students and post graduates can take advange of. With many functions within the engineering process needing oversight or 'leg work', interns are a valuable asset that many large engineering companies love to leverage and use the collaboration to gain a better understanding of an intern's wrok ethic and potential to identify possible employees. Engineering companies are generally located outside of major metropolitan areas, making living expenses less than other internship locations, although major metropolitan areas do have some engineering companies that run intern programs. Wherever you decide to work, there are jobs for engineering interns available throughout the year at Internships.com, where you'll find internship opportunities in engineering and more.
