The ideal candidate must be a junior or senior (or have comparable work experience) in university or a recent graduate. This is a part-time position, paid hourly. This SUMMER 2013 STUDENT internship opportunity is designed to give students experience in facility management, marketing, supervision, aerobic and weight training instruction and health promotion. The health and fitness intern position is 10-12 weeks in length, for 15-20 hours per week, depending on the student's schedule. The facility is open Monday-Friday (7am-6pm) in the summer, and shifts may include opening and closing shifts (7am-10am or 4-8pm). The Marine Environmental Research Institute (MERI), a nonprofit organization based in Blue Hill, Maine, is recruiting to fill a Coastal Monitoring Internship position for the field season 2013. This is a full-time position requiring an 8 month commitment from May through December. MERI is a scientific research and education organization dedicated to understanding the impacts of environmental pollutants on wildlife and human health, and to interpreting this information to a broad audience.
