Firebrand Media, a fast-growing Orange County media company, is seeking dedicated and detail-oriented college students for an editorial internship in magazine journalism. Programs are offered three times per year, beginning in September, January and June. Our interns will gain valuable practical experience and knowledge working on the companys regional magazines and luxury hotel publications. Our program offers a hands-on, real-world experience for college students looking to break into the magazine industrymeaning you wont be going on coffee runs or filing paperwork. Compensation: This is an unpaid internship for academic credit only; we will help take care of any paperwork relating to college credit. Schedule: We are flexible and can accommodate school and work schedules, but we ask that interns commit to a minimum of two full days per week in our Laguna Beach office. Haute Living is a lifestyle magazine and website covering extremely high-end events, brands and affluent individuals. Among other duties, capable interns will have the opportunity to write, copy edit, attend events and work on both print and web. We are looking for polished, motivated individuals with familiarity with Miami and luxury market.

American Gentleman is seeking a social media intern to create dynamic content on twitter, facebook, tumblr, pinterest, and instagram to promote the publication and drive traffic to our website. The intern will: Draft content for all social media platforms Research competitor social media and develop strategies to create competitive marketing techniques Research new topics and ideas to create original, dynamic content for social media Track social media following and report to the Editor in Chief on weekly and monthly growth. The intern will be expected to work from the office at for at least 4 hours, 2 days a week. Working at home will be required (roughly 30 min/ day) on out of office days. Occasionally the intern will be asked to accompany the editor in chief to events in order to cover them on social media effectively. Internship period will begin in late April/ early May, and will last for 3 months.

Man Of The Hour Magazine (online) is an online men's lifestyle magazine in the same vein of GQ, Details, and Esquire. We are seeking a Writers-at-Large 3. The position is unpaid and last 6 months. Interns will write for the site so you must be committed and a self-starter. The Writer-at-Large will write a weekly Sports column. The Writer-at-large will also cover automotive, health/fitness and technology content as it identifies with and relates to MHs target demographic. The candidate should possess an aptitude/interest in writing sports related content. The candidate should also possess an aptitude/interest in writing automotive, fitness, technology related content as it relates to MH's target demographic This internship is online and shall be based out of your own area residence. As an editorial intern you will be given the responsibility of writing and posting regular weekly pieces, and monthly features. All interns will be able to use their tenure with the Man Of The Hour as a resume building experience.
