TapWalk is an early stage startup that creates mobile apps for large events and venues: trade shows, universities, music festivals, museums, historical sites, chambers of commerce, etc. We have several patentable ideas as part of our product. We'd like to self-file the provisional patent applications before having to pay lawyers big money to do the final filing. We need someone to research the process and best practices for filing provisional patents; understand our patentable ideas; represent our ideas using the provisional patent best practices; file the patents. Much of the work can probably be done remotely, but, understanding the ideas will most efficiently be done in person in front of a whiteboard. Because we're an early stage startup, we're listing the position as unpaid. However, if sales are going well, a bonus is entirely possible. Equity might also be an option down the road if you're a good fit. Additionally, once you've accomplished this task, I know a dozen other startups that will pay for your newly found skills.

Massachusetts Survivors Outreach - M.A.S.O. is an organization providing healing services and holistic care for victims of domestic abuse as well as advocate for families in family courts and for change in current state laws. Through legal and medical research as well as advocacy, we aim to change the environment that abuse is not tolerated and children and victims need protection. And Victims can actually heal and severe the cords associated with abuse. MUST HAVE EXCELLENT RESEARCH AND WRITING SKILLS AND BE PREPARED TO SHOW EXAMPLES Interns will become intimately familiar with the current case load as well as working with victims and observing trials to become aware of new cases and work with those victims to gather information and identify the extent of the problem.

This is an UNPAID internship position interacting with clients and cases within a busy north of Boston law firm. Intern will work hand in hand with paralegals and attorneys in the law firm, handling a multitude of tasks on criminal defense, personal injury, domestic relations and other civil/criminal litigation. After at least five weeks of solid work within the offices an intern will receive the opportunity to accompany attorney for a day in the courthouse.
