Intern will manage NSCs webcasting service of various events and games during the spring and summer. The program will include producing/directing broadcast of up to 18 Minnesota Stars pro soccer home games, several NSC soccer tournaments, including USA CUP and NSC Cup. Also includes scheduling camera and on-air talent, promoting the product, troubleshooting issues and developing business plans. This position has elements of broadcast production and business management. Experience in using a TriCaster would be a plus. Start: March 2013 on a part time basis until May when the position becomes full time, and then part-time after August. Position will end when the Minnesota Stars season ends. Hours -- During summer, hours are 40+ per week. Interns should be flexible with time, as many positions require event work in evenings and weekends. All positions are available for course credit as approved by your institution. Compensation -- All positions are a paid stipend based on commensurate of experience. Intern(s) will assist in the administrative organization of major amateur sporting events and projects sponsored by the NSC and MASC, including SCHWANS USA CUP soccer tournament, NSC Cup, Wal-Mart All American Cup, USA Rugby events and Star of the North Games. Responsibilities will include registration, volunteer services, housing, transportation, officials, activities, campus operations, results/media, publications, special events, sponsorships, marketing, competition/programming, ticketing and more. The Kansas Youth Soccer Association, located in Olathe Kansas is a non profit 501 (c) (3) youth sports organization which has been in existence since 1981. We are an Affiliate Member of the United States Youth Soccer Association and the United States Soccer Federation. We are seeking an intern who has an interest in Sports Administration and Program Management - preferring someone who has had experience in soccer as a player or coach. The Salem-Keizer Volcanoes, class A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, are seeking a few smart, energetic, and hard working individuals to become seasonal front office interns. This unpaid internship is a great learning experience and will offer a window into the operations of a Minor league baseball team. The Food & Beverage Intern will report directly to the Food & Beverage Director and Intern Coordinator. This position will provide a clear picture of the overall operations of Food & Beverage in minor league baseball. The position is designed to offer an extensive amount of project and people management learning experiences as well as practical business basics such as cost vs. revenue and supply & demand. We are looking for people who can perform well in these capacities and have a passion for baseball. This internship requires a great amount of dedication throughout the baseball season. Interns will work long hours with their schedule each week changing depending on the team's game schedule. This position will learn to receive and store all food & beverage inventory. Learn to complete monthly inventory of all food & beverage items as well as rotating stock. Learn to coordinate with Food & Beverage Director to maintain correct inventory of all necessary items. Learn to supervise assigned areas (concession stands, picnic areas, portables, etc.) and seasonal employees. During the business day, all interns will also learn about sales through a combination of training and hands on experience. Responsibilities include making outbound sales calls, data entry, and assisting with promotions and community outreach. He/she will help create the most fun environment possible at Volcanoes Stadium, both in and around the stadium by offering the most delectable food available, and entertainment to be enjoyed with it. This may include bands for our entertainment deck, tables for our concourse and, of course, fans to enjoy it all. This will be done through phone calls and meetings, as sales is the one skill everyone in minor league baseball must possess (we will provide sales training, but prior experience is always a plus.) Most of all, he/she must be able keep a high level of energy and have fun all season long.
