DescriptionAzúcar Communications is looking for a self-motivated, eager college student to join our team as a U.S. Hispanic Online Community Manager Intern for the summer months. This is an opportunity where the intern will assist with maintaining all of the company social media channels while promoting our work including our online magazine Alma Emprendedora. The intern will also be coached throughout the length of the internship in all the nuts of bolts of entering the field of Communications and finding out what would be the best fit for their first paid job.
The intern will work closely with the agency founder and New Business Director. Azúcar Communications is a growing Hispanic Influencer agency based in Brooklyn, NY, that focuses on leveraging bloggers, celebrities, media and thought-leaders for Latino communication campaigns.
ResponsibilitiesJob responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Manage and maintain company's social media channels
Promote agency projects and e-zine on social media channels
Work on acquisition of new followers/readers for our e-zine
Drive traffic to e-zine content via company social media channels
Involved in social media strategy & execution
RequirementsAbility to work 15-20 hours a week
Excellent written communication skills in both Spanish & English
Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Linkedin and any other social media platforms.
Knowledge of HootSuite desired.
Willingness to learn about the Communications industry & the job market
Open to be coached on career aspects and work on assigned self-discovery assignments
Ability to work from home without supervision and meet in-person 1x a week at Brooklyn location
