Description

We are a new SaaS product built for the entertainment industry but with scalable tie-overs into other industries. The initial offering is live, but we are looking to develop best practices on Git, version control, full scalability and further development of the products. We are looking for an ambitious PHP coder who has an interest in working on something real, not experimental. This benefits both of us, as we are a very small group and pouring our personal resources into the project (aka None of us are getting paid yet). The right candidate could definitely see something larger come from their work -- it really depends on what you can bring to the table with us.

Responsibilities

You'll be working as part of a small team to better the existing product, but before that, helping us implement a system to control versioning and code checkout. Responsible for helping develop future features and resolve any issues that arise (currently zero reported, but surely that won't last!).

Requirements

- Competency in PHP coding, preferably with code samples
- Knowledge of CakePHP framework preferred, but willingness to learn/pick it up is acceptable.
- Knowledge of Github best practices and versioning is preferred.
- Experience with live dedicated servers or Amazon AWS a plus.
- Design knowledge not required, but understanding of CSS classes and div structure a must.
- Ability to debug and troubleshoot code conflicts
- Strong communication skills a must
- Live in the Las Vegas metro area

Skills

Required - PHP, Github, MySQL
Preferred - CakePHP, Version Control, Server Administration
