Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include working with vendors and branch personnel, data collection for numerous programs, tradeshow coordination, operation of CrescentTV, and updates of the Intranet pages and research projects. Also, will support Corporate, District, and Branch's marketing efforts.

Primary Duties:

  • Collect market data for branches.
  • Assist branches in designing marketing materials and approaches to meet their specific needs.
  • Perform branch or customer surveys to collect data on customer satisfaction and customer needs.
  • Work with vendor sales personnel on joint promotions of their products.
  • Make recommendations on the best use of co-op dollars.
  • Develop product knowledge.
  • Satisfy branches' requirements for literature, catalogs, price sheets etc.
  • Execute marketing effort in an ethical and professional manner that will reflect favorably on the reputation of both the branch and the company.
  • Look for creative methods and techniques for supportive selling and relate successes and/or failures to peers.
  • Organize tradeshows.
  • Update intranet tools and resources. (Sharepoint)
  • Introduce new products (NPI) and upload to the intranet.
  • Make recommendations on logoed merchandise, update descriptions and pictures as needed. Take inventory and send to the field.
  • Analyze data with regards to promotions and events to grasp a better understanding of the success.
Qualifications:
  • Must be of sophomore or higher level standing in college/university.
  • Experience in video converting and editing a plus.

  • Individual must possess strong, comprehensive PC skills (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Must have ability to work quickly and accurately under time constraints and against deadlines.
  • Must possess interpersonal and organizational skills, be a self starter, be detail oriented, and have the ability to communicate (verbal and written).

Work with the project leads to analyze requirements and produce technical specifications for build teams.
It is expected that some element of level 3 support may be involved, particularly around your own implementations and areas of specialisms.
Work with the development team to ensure that they understand the specifications.
Conduct business process modeling and generate applicable scenarios testing.
Document system scenarios and identify roles impacted to help develop change management and training plans.

Brand Marketing - Fall 2013 Internship

Marketing Brand Internship The Brand Marketing Internship Program is designed to provide the student with an overview of the special relationship between HSN and its business partners. HSNs unique business position, as both a retailer and a television network, make for a most unusual and exciting alliance where the full-on dynamics of a retail store happily coexist in the non-stop, fast-paced world of live television programming (we call this unique relationship Retail Entertainment Shopping). This bifurcated relationship ultimately makes for a thoroughly enjoyable yet challenging, engaging and rewarding work experience. As an intern in the Brand Marketing department you will complement your classroom learnings on direct marketing; trade and consumer promotion campaigns; how to calculate a marketing campaigns return on investment; how to differentiate and position brands; and how to develop a successful marketing campaign. The Brand Marketing team is comprised of seasoned Marketing leaders. By the end of your program you will have a complete understanding of the intricate nature of how we help keep HSN on the air - delivering millions of known brand names products and goods to our customers. Internship Program Description Support the Brand Marketing department in the management of marketing programs that drive sales and enhance the brand, including partner research, tactic execution in all media (TV, HSN.com, Print, Sales Service) and program tracking and analysis. Public Relations Internship - Fall 2013

The Public Relations Internship Program is designed to provide the student with an overview of the relationship between HSN the media and how these relationships are leveraged to elevate the HSN brand. Additionally, the internship will provide the student with an understanding of the role of external agencies (both the corporate and consumer sides) and their impact on the business. Finally, the program will provide the student with insight into the employee relations function of the department. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Working with the VP, director, senior manager coordinator as needed
  • Media monitoring; gathering, clipping logging press clips
  • Maintaining the Public Relations intranet site, updating weekly with recent press hits
  • Assisting in departmental activities as needed, including quarterly Town Hall meeting, birthday celebrations quarterly employee breakfasts with Mindy
  • Assisting in product placement, including working with merchants to determine fitting products for opportunities, gathering samples, shipping samples to the agency, pulling credit information, returning product to merchants as needed maintaining monthly budget spreadsheet
  • Working with the Imaging Studio to request product shots as needed, including scheduling time for shoot, drop-off/pick-up samples, submitting photo briefs pulling images from the Media Bin
  • Assisting with special events; working with agency and internal team to support events, including shipping products, sending imagery and other requests that arise
  • Working with vendors to place and fulfill sample orders
  • Assist in the invoicing process; submitting, filing and tracking invoices
  • Assist other departments as needed; pulling clips, providing imagery from set shots, etc

Minimum Requirements:
  • Working towards a Bachelors Degree in a related field
  • Ability to obtain course credit thru the college or university
  • Ability to accommodate an Unpaid Internship
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office - Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
