Position Description: This is an opportunity for a college senior (Class of 2013), or junior (Class of 2014) to build professional experience in financial services marketing, specifically in building marketing programs for HNW and UHNW clients and prospects, and in particular managing the day-to-day project management and financial reporting. As a member of the Private Banking Global Marketing Group, the intern will support members of the Strategy & Business Management and/or Credit Marketing teams. Responsibilities: Under the management of a Marketing Vice President, and in collaboration with team members and colleagues across Global Marketing, the intern will:
  • Develop an understanding of the business and sales needs
  • Lead the day-to-day management of online and technology enhancements as they relate to marketing, for example the client site, the public website, Events in CRM, pitchbooks and other projects as they arise
  • Assist with refining and promoting Private Banking programs for the front office and clients
  • Support the launch of intellectual content and ad-hoc distribution projects
  • Input data to assist with day-to-day budget management and event tracking
  • Collect, collate and analyze information to build presentations and spreadsheets both describing and quantifying the group's impact
  • Complete ad-hoc analyses for the Head of Global Marketing and her direct reports and colleagues
  • Focus on providing information and analysis to support decision-making
  • Monitor upcoming calendar items; coordinate the receipt of required supporting materials, as well as action items following specific meetings
He or she may also be asked to participate in other projects across different marketing disciplines as they leverage their unique talents and expertise. This is a paid internship; undergraduate credit for this internship is not available.

Morgan Private Bank Economics team develop a plotting interface and supporting statistical programs using Matlab. Upon completion, this new interface will allow the economics team to rapidly compile and visualize data and analysis from all of its key vendors on one, integrated platform. A mastery of basic statistics including regression, correlation, interpolation, and filtering analysis is required. Strong programming experience in Matlab is also essential. Successful interns will have significant experience writing Matlab programs and functions that allow for variable input-output, leverage available Matlab toolboxes (Statistics, Datafeed) and properly handle missing observations in an efficient way.

Our product centers on providing clients with a robust mobile framework to build applications that will be hosted in our runtime mobile container. The product will benefit numerous lines of business, including: Investment Banking, Retail Banking, Broker Dealer Services, and Worldwide Security Services. In this role you will be responsible for the development of framework components based on object oriented design patterns and best practices following a mature software development process. You will be required to participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle (i.e. requirements analysis, design, development, testing and production rollout). You will work closely with key team members within the Mobile Matrix team and establish good working relationships with application development teams outside of Brokerage Technology Services. This position will be part of a development team and will report directly to the technical team lead. You will work closely with the technical lead, other technical leads, architects, and subject matter experts in a collaborative environment to produce the next generation mobile framework and runtime container.
