Acquire a detailed knowledge of GMI, a SunGard post-trade processing application used at JP Morgan to process Futures Options and Cleared OTC products globally. Specific areas of concentration will be general ledger processing, collateral processing, margins settlements, the batch cycle, fees commissions, interest, trade loads, and implementing SunGard application enhancements across all functional areas of the system.
Work with the project leads to analyze requirements and produce technical specifications for build teams.
It is expected that some element of level 3 support may be involved, particularly around your own implementations and areas of specialisms.
Work with the development team to ensure that they understand the specifications.
Conduct business process modeling and generate applicable scenarios testing.
Document system scenarios and identify roles impacted to help develop change management and training plans.

The First Data technical intern program offers talented college students an opportunity to develop leadership skills and gain hands on experience working as part of a truly global support team working with professionals across the enterprise.

The First Data development team is changing the world of one payment after another. As an intern on our Development team, you will work on our core products and services; you will be interacting with the Application Development teams across the country and overseas; you will interact with Product Managers, Project Managers, GIO (Global Infrastructure Operations) resources and Client/Partner IT resources to collaborate on projects.

First Data is currently looking at entry level COBOL intern to work on online  and batch applications that support credit card processing. This is a great opportunity to work on and support next generation payment technologies. Job duties include the following:

Brand Marketing - Fall 2013 Internship

Marketing Brand Internship The Brand Marketing Internship Program is designed to provide the student with an overview of the special relationship between HSN and its business partners. HSNs unique business position, as both a retailer and a television network, make for a most unusual and exciting alliance where the full-on dynamics of a retail store happily coexist in the non-stop, fast-paced world of live television programming (we call this unique relationship Retail Entertainment Shopping). This bifurcated relationship ultimately makes for a thoroughly enjoyable yet challenging, engaging and rewarding work experience. As an intern in the Brand Marketing department you will complement your classroom learnings on direct marketing; trade and consumer promotion campaigns; how to calculate a marketing campaigns return on investment; how to differentiate and position brands; and how to develop a successful marketing campaign. The Brand Marketing team is comprised of seasoned Marketing leaders. By the end of your program you will have a complete understanding of the intricate nature of how we help keep HSN on the air - delivering millions of known brand names products and goods to our customers. Internship Program Description Support the Brand Marketing department in the management of marketing programs that drive sales and enhance the brand, including partner research, tactic execution in all media (TV, HSN.com, Print, Sales Service) and program tracking and analysis. Interact across multidisciplinary marketing departments at HSN to help coordinate plans and work with the team to conduct evaluations on a series of key marketing initiatives for HSN. These departments include: Strategic Marketing Alliances; Brand Marketing; Public Relations; Creative Services; HSN.com; Advanced Services and CRM (Customer Relationship marketing-database marketing). Key tasks performed on a regular basis include but are not limited to:
  • Project management
  • Campaign and project analysis and reporting

  • Microsoft Excel spreadsheet compilations
  • Packaging and shipping of marketing materials (as needed)

Minimum Qualifications
  • Must have taken senior level quantitative/qualitative analysis courses
  • Entry level accounting

  • Punctuality and commitment is a must
  • Must be earning college credit towards a Advertising, Business or Marketing degree
