You're The Bride is seeking motivated, reliable and detailed individuals for 2013 internship. Must be able to stand for long periods of time and have a computer as assignments will be e-mailed to you. Previous event planning experience a plus but not necessary. This is an UNPAID position; however, an intern who successfully completes the internship may be hired on a part-time basis to assist at future events. You will receive real experience in the world of wedding planning and this alone is very valuable if you are looking to break into the industry.

MT. PLEASANT, MICHIGAN, USA: EnviroScience, Inc. offers summer internships in our Lake Management division as part of the Milfoil Solution® program. This innovative biological control utilizes a native insect, the milfoil weevil, to manage Eurasian watermilfoil, an invasive aquatic plant. Students will experience hands-on opportunities in a unique industry while based at our Mt. Pleasant, Michigan summer laboratory and culturing facility. Hourly pay rate ranging from part-time to full-time, June and July are busiest months with most potential for full-time and overtime hours. Organizational Background Habitat for Humanity of Huron Valley is a nonprofit, volunteer-driven organization that works to provide affordable homeownership opportunities for hard-working, low-income families in Washtenaw County. This year we are planning to renovate 15 homes for 15 local families through the help of our countless sponsors, volunteers, and supporters. Position Description Habitat for Humanity of Huron Valleys Development and Volunteer Intern will support the organization by managing a number of key projects. The intern will work closely with the Development Department to promote Habitat for Humanity and to manage and organize tasks related to fundraising and volunteer coordination. Please note that this is an unpaid position. Time Commitment This internship will be 10-15 hours per week, spring 2013 through late summer, based on candidate availability. These hours and dates are flexible. Typical office hours are Monday through Thursday, 9am-5pm, and Friday, 9am-1pm, however, intern must be willing to work some evenings and at least two Saturday mornings per month (to greet volunteer groups on site). Overview: The Alzheimers Association Walk to End AlzheimersTM Marketing and Outreach intern serves as the primary lead for generating greater participation for the Walk via promotion of the event; and to build public awareness of the Alzheimers Association in promotion of Walk. Works closely with the Walk Event Chair/Co-Chair and other staff to identify opportunities to engage the community of our mission through Walk. Attributes: Comfortable speaking to groups, Good communication skills, Personable, Mission focused thinker. Objectives: - In close coordination with the Regional Director and Walk Chair, develop a plan of action to ensure marketing and public outreach goals are met. - Develop and implement strategies to obtain free media opportunities. Be creative when looking for new approaches to promotional opportunities. - Help identify & coordinate targeted local media opportunities during nationwide advertising campaign. - Augment existing outreach (brochure & poster distribution, paid advertising, etc.) with creative strategies. - Look for new online promotional opportunities and ways to expand outreach. - Meet monthly with walk committees to assess goals, troubleshoot and provide assistance to committee volunteers. - identify opportunities to expand outreach into diverse communities. - Assist with the logistics for the day of the event

If you're looking for an internship in the Lansing area, we still need a few here at Such Video for Summer 2013 semester! As a Such Video intern, you'll receive experience in all aspects in video and film production as well as post production. Currently, we're looking for interns interested in writing, producing, shooting and editing a 30 minute bi-monthly television show. The programs will be focused on introducing the educational resources and opportunities that are available in Ingham County and to inspire the audience to become active participants in education. They will be in a templated, magazine format with a host. These shows will be produced by interns from pre-production, to production, to post with help from your executive producer. We're seeking students in Media Arts, Journalism, Advertising, Communications, Telecommunications or other similar majors. Interviews will be held during Spring semester. Purpose of Position: Youth For Understanding (YFU) is a leader in the field of international student exchange with sixty years experience in inbound and outbound programming. The International Student Exchange Placement Interns will assist YFU USA fields in the International Student (IS) placement effort. Interns may also help organize the pre-departure orientations for American Overseas (AO) students and the re-entry/post-arrival orientations for international students.
