City Dining Cards is a a pro-local marketing company that's passionate about building relationships between small businesses and locally minded customers. We started in Buffalo, NY in 2010 and have grown into nine cities in the Eastern US. In everything we do, our goal is to help locally owned businesses get customers in the door and coming back for more. As our Business Development Assistant you will be responsible for assisting in the distribution of sales materials to local schools and non-profits, meeting with these organizations and servicing their needs to ensure complete satisfaction. You will be assigned various support and administrative responsibilities including research for product and market development, operations and marketing. The intern will be exposed to a very progressive and capable marketing company, learning through our team how to work efficiently and successfully from the smallest tasks to the most complicated projects. Credit will be earned up to 150 hours of work. Monetary compensation based on successful distribution and sales calls.

Rivertowne is a local chain of four casual dining restaurants and a local brewery. Rivertowne started out as a small bar in Verona and has grown substantially to its current size of four restaurants spread across East and Downtown Pittsburgh with its newest production facility located in Export, PA. Restaurants in Verona, North Huntingdon, and on Pittsburghs North Shore function as casual bar and grilles that specialize in quality yet affordable pub food with a focus on Seafood while offering an attractive list of Craft beers on draft and in Bottles. Rivertownes flagship store, the Pourhouse, is located in Monroeville and functions as a brewpub. The production facility or brewery in Export, is the company headquarters. As an intern you will be spending a great deal of your time at this location. As a Marketing Intern you will have the opportunity to apply your coursework to real-world marketing problems and gain invaluable work experience. Marketing interns are given far more responsibility and authority than you would expect to find in other companies. We hope to leverage your market skills with our business plan and concept to create a symbiotic relationship that will help us build our brand and you gain the work experience you need.

The Neighborhood Academy is the only college-preparatory high school in Pittsburgh, PA that intentionally serves low-income, inner-city students. As an independent, faith-based school for low-income youth, the Academy's mission is to break the cycle of poverty by preparing the city's poorest young people for higher education. Our unique approach includes an extended school day (8am to 7:30pm), very small classes, counseling services, close and ongoing communication with families and a rigorous academic curriculum focusing on remedial reading, writing, and math. We also provide transportation, three meals a day, and assistance with emergency needs like medical care and clothing. The breadth of our services to students is based on the belief that low-income students face special challenges and need much more than "school" to learn. PRIMARY PURPOSE: Assist and support the Administration of The Neighborhood Academy with a variety of projects and daily duties for our school programs and operations.
