Instead of monetary payment, introductory and on-going training will be provided for the following skill sets: - Communications - Marketing - Promotions - Writing - Management & Team leadership - Education about the non-profit sector as well as mental health challenges and initiatives This position is suitable for those who would like a challenge, are willing to learn a lot in a short period of time and for those who would like to take on lots of responsibility. This will be the first time CMHA Simon Fraser will be holding a run in New Westminster; with hopes it can become an annual fun-filled family event for community-wide participation. The purpose of this run & walk event is to raise awareness for mental health issues and funds for CMHA-SF, while encouraging active physical fitness and celebration for the whole community. The Fundraising and Promotions Coordinator will be responsible for supporting our team on various promotions and fundraising activities, including the marketing, sponsorship and fundraising initiatives for our run & walk event. For this position, we are looking for someone who loves networking within the business community, thrives on a challenge, is creative, a self starter, media savvy with strong communications skills and has a sincere willingness to learn new skills and subjects.
