Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Shadow Helpdesk analysts, provide light helpdesk support
Inventory audit (Both Server and Client workstations)
Organize network documentations, diagrams, ensure everything is up to date in case of a disaster
Check daily backups
Send and receive shipments to remote offices and personnel
Digital asset management

Strong PC troubleshooting skills
Good communication skills both oral/written
Strong customer service aptitude
Enjoys learning new skills
Familiarity with Windows 2008/2012, Windows 7/8, Windows XP *32/64 bit OS
TCP/IP networking (addressing, routing, etc)
Strong organizational skills
High attention to detail

IT support experience
School credit is a requirement

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities; however, candidate is expected to demonstrative excellent leadership qualities.

Work Environment:
Business casual

Physical Demands:
Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs


Position Summary:
The Recording Academy IT Internship program offers students the opportunity to combine work experience and professional development with formal education. This program offers you an opportunity to work in an environment where you can learn, investigate career choices, and apply your education. This candidate will assist with IT documentation and daily IT needs (Helpdesk). The chosen Desktop Support Intern candidate will be able to get hands on experience supporting users in various business groups, work with Microsoft’s latest technologies (Windows Server / Active Directory / Exchange / IT hardware troubleshoot). The Intern will also be expected to work with management and staff to come up with a project that meets school and Recording Academy requirements that reflects the candidate’s ability to learn, adapt, and integrate his/her skillsets and experiences with the needs of the Recording Academy.
