Description

Immigration Equality, a non-profit organization advocating for equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and HIV-positive immigrants and their families, seeks a technology and database intern for our NYC headquarters in the Financial District.

Responsibilities

The Immigration Equality Technology and Database Intern will work with our Technology Coordinator on office technology and database management. The Technology and Database Intern will have the opportunity to learn a variety of IT and database administration skills, as well as assisting with the maintenance of our office technology systems.
The Technology and Database Intern will have the opportunity to work with the Technology Coordinator to structure the internship to meet their educational and career goals. This internship will be part time (approximately 15 hours per week).

Requirements

? Commitment to immigration rights and equality for LGBT and HIV-positive immigrants
? Interest in learning and working on technology and database management for the non-profit sector
? Experience with troubleshooting on Windows 7 and Windows XP.
? Skill and interest in measurement and analysis of online data
? Devoted to collaboration while also taking direction well
? Knowledge of databases and data management best practices
? Attention to detail, team player
? Experience with Salesforce, Click & Pledge, ARCOS, and Dropbox a plus
