We are seeking several exceptional web design/development interns for our web design/technology staff. We are seeking interns who can work on a wide range of projects for our network of sites. We’re looking people with a sharp eye and good taste who are ready to jump into any challenge that awaits them. From polishing up existing designs, to re-imaging existing features, and creating complete websites from the ground up- you’ll have an opportunity to engage in a wide variety of challenges. In this role on the web-services team, you’ll work directly with some of the largest faith-based media companies in the world to help them launch their GODNET.TV-powered video experiences. The right candidates will be self-starters and strong communicators who will work well with others and can quickly adapt to changes in a start-up environment.
Our web designers are responsible for creating and innovating the look and feel of web pages for numerous corporate websites, to make sure they are functional, user friendly and innovative. If you plan to pursue a career in the field of Web Design, an internship with GODNET.TV will allow you to acquire necessary skills and essential working knowledge in how to plan and develop websites, improve their functionalities, and provide you the foundations for a successful career in Web Design.
Although this is a virtual position, you’ll be working closely with various team members to conceptualize, plan, discuss, refine, and deliver program essentials. ResponsibilitiesThe Web developer internship will focus on creating enhancements to GODNET.TV's existing family of websites. The ability to work well within a team and independently are both essential. Interns will be called upon to develop and design Web projects that vary in size and scope from quick projects with daily deadlines to long-term features. As an intern in Web Design you will be responsible for creating an innovative and imaginative look and feel to our websites to maximize the effectiveness, visual appearance and impact of our sites and its content. During your web design internship you will be working your own designated websites which will allow you the opportunity to display your design creativity whilst building an efficiently focused website which provides a positive user experience. In addition to this IT knowledge you should have experience in using picture editing software such as Photoshop, Illustrator or GIMP.
We are looking for recent graduates or current undergraduate students to do some web design work for GODNET.TV. GODNET.TV is an exciting new online brand. We envision this to be a perfect opportunity for an ambitious student or recent grad that wants to be a part of something new and refreshing. We desire someone with not only technical expertise, but a flare for design style and layout. In time, this position may grow into a paid career opportunity. We are able to work with students to obtain school credit, if available.
An experienced volunteer must commit to working a minimum of 15-20 hours per week and may enjoy a flexible schedule, working remotely. A minimum of 3-6 months is required with the possibility of extension; applicants that are willing to commit to 4+ months are strongly preferred.

RequirementsBasic Knowledge Requirements
• Able to use open source software and programs, • Ability to work with PHP, or ASP.NET
• Able to map and outline a website's structural content, •Prior experience in designing webpages, • Understand how to produce designs that will attract the desired target users and ensure that content is accessible to users, •Ability to test functionalities of websites in different web browsers and resolutions to maximize effectiveness of websites
• Creating, designing & editing images and graphics for websites
• Knowledge and familiarity with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) techniques
• 1-3 years of development experience.
• Being able to code in HTML from scratch is required. PHP is a huge PLUS.
• Ability to learn how to translate design into a functional website
• Photoshop and Illustrator OR comparable product line.
