DescriptionWe are an IT Support and management firm located in Schaumburg providing IT support for small and mid-sized companies in the surrounding areas. Our services are geared toward businesses that cannot justify full-time IT support and choose to outsource their IT needs to us. We are currently seeking Interns to assist with some of our clients
This position is ideal for someone looking to break into the IT field. This position will allow you to work directly with IT users and work within small environments, a great way to learn the technology faster.
90% of our environments are Windows-based. You’ll learn to work with Windows Server, Small business server, Active Directory, Routers, Switches, VPNs, troubleshoot PC hardware and software issues and work directly with users.
ResponsibilitiesUnder the direction of Senior IT Staff, your primary responsibilities will include:
-Tier 1 Support
-Troubleshoot PC-based hardware and software
-Perform installation / removal of software
-Research IT products and services for upcoming and ongoing projects
-Field calls from users and assist them with minor issues
-Escalate calls to senior-level IT staff
-Microsoft office skills, required
- Working knowledge of windows operating systems, required
- Basic understanding of system security concepts and practices, required
- Basic networking concepts, required
- Knowledge of hardware and software concepts, required
- A+ Certification, preferred
- Ability to communicate orally and written, required
- Ability to have attention to detail and documentation practices, required
-Ability to work M-F with occasional weekends.
-Minimum of 25 hours per week required either mornings or afternoons
