Description

Founded in 2003, Center for Powerful Public Schools provides services to schools and districts in Greater Los Angeles and across California to develop, implement and sustain personalized, high-performing schools that advance public education and ensure student success. Center for Powerful Public Schools creates and supports programs that improve learning and teaching in public schools by equipping educators with the resources they need to ensure youth are prepare to meet the demands of the 21st century. We believe that powerful public schools are essential to an equitable society, economy and democracy. Center for Powerful Public Schools is recruiting a Knowledge Management Intern to support the development of our knowledge management systems and intellectual capital.

Responsibilities:
• Assist with document management tasks and data entry for Sharepoint’s document submission process
• Co-create the foundation of the Center’s document and knowledge structure
• Perform quality standards testing on document naming conventions
• Create instructional tools to assist staff in understanding new knowledge
management systems
• As requested, draft internal communications on the recent contributions to
Sharepoint for the staff’s intranet
• Assist with research, writing, and support additional projects, as requested

Requirements

Qualifications:
• Current undergraduate student
• Strong interest in knowledge management and knowledge sharing
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong writing and computer skills
• Previous communications experience preferred
• Interest in education preferred
• Availability of 18+ hours a week preferred
