DescriptionWe're looking for talented and creative individuals to explore and document their local music scene and culture! Writer's will share with the world the glories that is local music, and partner with a tech start up looking to attack the music industry.
You will work with BandQuote editors and other journalists to review and improve your core content as well as strengthen your journalistic voice. You will also be working with BandQuote in promotion of your name and writing. BandQuote is looking for highly skilled writers looking to develop a big following.
In addition, interns will receive industry specific marketing experience to expand their journalistic value and gain hands on freelance training.
Topics of writing include: Editorials, Interviews, Reviews of albums/shows/artists, creative lists and exploring local music subculture.
The internship is virtual and simulates a freelance worker's experience (no set hours). You will receive access to a BandQuote task manager to keep projects, progress and completion dates all in one place.
We strive to tailor the program to each individual and are eager to work with individuals to maximize the reward from the experience.

Responsibilities-Develop a unique and attractive journalistic voice
- Outreach into the local music scene, acting on behalf of BandQuote
- Chronicling local music in a manner which builds value for the reader and develops a unique voice
- Provide insights and analysis of market in a productive work setting
Requirements- Demonstrate interest and knowledge of music
- Candidate must have strong writing skill set, marketable style, and taste in music, as well as strong presentation, interpersonal relations, and customer management
