DescriptionL'Italo-Americano is a bilingual, weekly newspaper serving the Italian-American community throughout the United States. Established in 1908, L'Italo-Americano is the oldest Italian-American newspaper in the United States with a mission to promote and preserve Italian culture and heritage by reporting in both Italian and English on subjects such as arts and culture, literature, education, history, business, sciences, sports, lifestyle to name a few.
The paper publishes news articles that feature events in the Italian-American communities primarily of the west coast, helping to foster a meaningful connection with Italian culture. L'Italo-Americano is published every Thursday, and it reaches more than 30,000 readers weekly. Moreover, with a growing social media network, it will be on the cutting edge of how Italian-Americans can connect with their culture and heritage.
L'Italo-Americano is now offering a 3-months internship at its headquarters in Los Angeles, California. During the collaboration, the intern will work as a journalist writing articles in English and Italian, covering events of interest for the newspaper in the Los Angeles area and providing administrative support. A very good knowledge of written and spoken English and Italian are required as well as good writing skills.
L'Italo-Americano will provide the intern an independent accommodation near its headquarters for the duration of the collaboration.
