A Global Voice for Autism
DescriptionA Global Voice for Autism is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization that empowers underserved communities around the world to care for their children with autism. Our approach includes Applied Behavior Analysis parent training programs, parent and sibling support groups and community education initiatives. We recently completed our pilot program in Jenin, Palestinian Territories and presented its results at the United Nations on World Autism Awareness Day, 2014.
We are looking for a social media intern to assist our social media coordinator in managing our Facebook and Twitter accounts. The position will involve researching and posting new articles related to the autism field internationally. Interns will also use social media to increase our presence and followers on Facebook and Twitter.
Interns can be located anywhere in the world as long as they have regular access to internet and should be willing to contribute 5-10 hours/week to the internship position.

Responsibilities-Research and post autism-related articles to our social media accounts on Facebook and Twitter 3-5 days weekly
-Recruit new followers to our Facebook and Twitter pages
-Increase our website traffic through social media promotion: www.aglobalvoiceforautism.org
-Work with Social Media Manager to design and implement new social media campaigns
Requirements-Passionate about serving individuals with autism and their families
-English fluency is required (fluency/proficiency in Arabic is an added bonus!)
-Responsible and reliable
-Strong verbal skills
-Social media experience, proficiency on Facebook and Twitter (previous organizational social media experience is a plus)
