Are you looking for an opportunity to gain experience and be creative?

SOA Event Concepts, now known as The SOA Brand, is currently recruiting copywriting interns for the Fall 2014/ Spring 2015 semesters.

As a copywriting intern, you will create and pitch story ideas for our business blog that involves advice from a business perspective, fashion as it inspires the events industry, DIY opportunities, and content related to food and food creation. You will also add featured articles on our client website that's dedicated to the music and entertainment industries. You will be responsible for editing and proofing posts and articles.

You will also learn about social media analytics and metrics as well as SEO and metatags that can help the placement of the post and company in search engines ranks. You will also be partially responsible for managing our social media pages and getting others engaged with our blog and company. This opportunity is a 6-12 month opportunity where the intern can receive college credit along with their experience.


Contribute to company blog
Contribute to client media site
Monitor and manage social networks (including Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Instagram, Pinterest, Youtube, Vimeo) daily.
Research and post stories, articles, and links pertinent to SOA Event Concepts, the events industry, and all around inspiring in a visual way
Edit and create copy for company materials
Pitch story ideas for company blog as well as articles on behalf of SOA Event Concepts
Work collaboratively with public relations intern to edit pitch letters, press releases, and marketing collateral
Online outreach and promotion using Facebook and Twitter
Social media optimization


Detail oriented. Highly creative and imaginative. Descriptive and engaging writing style. Great written and interpersonal skills. Work well in a team setting as well an independently. Punctual. Work well under pressure and can meet strict deadlines. Has an interest in DIY, business advice, fashion, food, and/or events industry. Be skilled in writing clear, concise, grammatically correct copy. Highly motivated and takes initiative. Able to take constructive criticism. Possess good leadership and project management skills.
