The City Insight, Inc. consists of multiple media components such as print (City Insight magazine), digital, online, public relations, consulting, event coverage, and interviews, just to name a few. It features organizations and people of interest that make a difference and have an overall impact in the industries of our cities. Example areas of coverage in North Carolina include Cary, Chapel Hill, Clayton, Durham, Fuquay-Varina, Garner, Knightdale, Raleigh, and Wake Forest. Additionally, we have national reach through various online websites. The City Insight has featured such people as Dr. Maya Angelou, Colum McCann, Grammy Winner Shirley Ceasar, Country Singers, Jimmy Wayne and Chase Rice, Former Raleigh Mayor Charles Meeker and many many more.

Through its solutions, effective marketing strategies are provided for businesses, along with partnerships that make sense. These relationships ultimately benefit the community. Additionally, The City Insight fosters strategic initiatives that benefit non-profits and their sustainability, while also creating solutions for self-efficiency and economic development within small businesses. Our goal is to strive to be a positive influence by addressing the issues that means the most.

For the past decade, the Triangle has consistently been in 60 top categories such as The Top 10 Tech Towns, The Best Places to Live and Work, and The Most Educated Cities, just to name a few. These cities are Cary, Chapel Hill, Clayton, Durham, Fuquay-Varina, Garner, Knightdale, Raleigh, and Wake Forest. Responsibilities

- Assist with editorial projects and provide support to the Communications Editor.
- Proofreading both hard and electronic files, basic copyediting, and writing of proposals and reports;
- Assisting with or proofing of basic ads, flyers, brochures, invitations, etc.
- Work on special projects, as needed

Requirements

- Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, English, business communications, or communication arts.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with keen attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Knowledge of MS Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience/interest in Web maintenance
- Familiarity with Adobe In Design and Adobe Acrobat is a plus
