The Campus Companion is looking for motivated, passionate students to join their Fall 2012 Journalism Internship program. We are a student-run blog network dedicated to helping college students succeed academically, socially, financially and spiritually. We are looking for fall journalism interns that will be responsible for developing, composing, and polishing articles according to a cycling deadline. These articles will be catered to a college / young adult audience.

Alongside our general focus topics (Academics, finances, general college lifestyle and perspective), we are currently looking for writers with specialties in:

Politics/Current Events

Our internship program provides students with the opportunity to develop an online presence while writing about topics that interest them. Working in close contact with the Editor-In-Chief, interns will gain experience writing high-quality content in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. Interns will be expected to complete two articles a week. Academic internship credit is available, contingent on university guidelines. Candidates should be able to work 10-20 hours a week


Practice non-biased writing techniques
Conduct qualitative research
Conform to a professional schedule with deadlines
Work on assigned projects


Undergraduate or Graduate students from all majors.
Flawless grammar and concise style 
Open to criticism 
Ability to write on a range of topics, both self-selected and assigned.
Previous online writing or newspaper experience is a plus.
