ResponsibilitiesIn this role, the intern will have overall responsibility for the work assigned. Handle project tasks, including basic writing task, social media campaign support tactics working closely with all senior staff members
in planning, analyzing and evaluating information for both programs and projects and in other assigned activities.
Be a key contributor to administration and account management/maintenance tasks. They will learn core
competencies in essential tasks, including a strong understanding of social and PR fundamentals, producing content, client relations and basic budgeting/time management duties. On the job training on key measurement and
media outreach tools and systems will be provided.

RequirementsFICA has an internship opportunity for current and college graduates students in the field of journalism, PR or Marketing (with Social Media or PR emphasis) who has strong writing skills and working knowledge of on/offline media, a demonstrated track record of experience is a plus/participation in social media and working knowledge of content management systems and basic HTML skills.
Additional Skills and Abilities A Plus:
College Junior, Senior or Recent Graduate; Previous public relations or journalism internship preferred
Knowledge of national media outlets; Social Media (i.e. Twitter, Facebook) experience a plus; Excellent written and verbal communication, grammar and proofreading skills with acute attention to detail; Ability to prioritize, multitask, manage complex workload and handle pressure in a deadline-driven environment; Ability to self-start, work independently and problem solve, as necessary; Proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and extremely Web-savvy (i.e., research); Unpaid Internship (Expenses Reimbursed) and College Credit may be available.
