DescriptionThis is a paid (NJ Minimum Wage), temporary internship (3-6 months) designed to expose successful candidates to all facets of the celebrity news business, from gathering content to print. This is an opportunity for applicants to hone the writing and reporting skills that will enable them to hold a permanent position in the industry. Ideal candidates should have a broad knowledge of pop culture, a grasp of the magazine’s writing style, and possess a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities-Helping editors research various topics for upcoming articles
-Transcribing celebrity interviews conducted by staff reporters
-Assisting in field and red carpet reporting in the New York City area.
RequirementsThe Closer Weekly news department is looking for bright, talented and enthusiastic interns with a desire to develop a career in the celebrity news industry. Candidates should be working toward a Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism or Media Studies, and currently living in the New York City or northern New Jersey area. Recent college graduates will also be considered. College credit for the internship is available but not required.
