Description

Socially Jen is a full service social media and virtual assistant company. We help with businesses complete social media presence, and get the word out on products through blogging.
The marketing intern position will assist senior planner in the planning, detailing and execution of various projects.
Intern will act as a liaison between vendors and Socially Jen. Social media posting, blogging, and research will be a large portion of the job as well. Public relations, and social media knowledge helpful but not necessary. You must have a positive attitude, desire to learn, and willingness to be flexible. Oh and like to have fun too! You will see how our company functions from behind the scenes, and play a large role in contributing to the success of our events and projects.

Responsibilities

Duties Include:
Source promotional items and prepare quotes.
Maintain contact database
Identify and post all events on area website calendars (Events STL, Chambers, etc.)
Researching and creating blog on a bi-weekly basis
Act as liaison between venue and client
Responsible for social media marketing (facebook, etc.)
Coordinate event logistics
Create and coordinate marketing pieces
Write and send out public service announcements, press releases

Requirements

Skills:
Must be a self starter and able to multi-task – you will be working on different projects
Be able to work required internship hours per week (9-12)
Blogging and social media experience preferred but not required
Be able to work in a fast pace environment
