DescriptionTexasTop100.com is an online media publication aimed at telling the stories of basketball players and teams originating from the state of Texas. We rank and promote Texas high school and middle school players using our website, tournaments, camps and other events.
We are looking for an intern who is heavily interested in sports writing and particularly basketball coverage. This position is made for young up-and-coming journalists who want to get their name out there in the sports world. Texas Top 100 is the most popular site in the state focusing solely on prep basketball.
Ideally, we would like someone from Texas. We are not excluding anyone from out-of-state, but you'll really need to convince us you can get the job done.
ResponsibilitiesWriting profiles on top recruits in the state.
Producing and anchoring videos.
Helping to start our podcast.
You will be in charge of our Instagram account.
Help out with Twitter account.
Go to games and tournaments during the season and write recaps.
RequirementsAbsolutely must have:
A strong interest in basketball.
A passion for writing.
Desire to learn and ability to accept constructive criticism.
Reliability. We understand you have other things going on, but if you say you'll have a story done, we expect it to be done.
