DescriptionMaximoTV, a Los Angeles based media outlet, is currently looking for camera operators / videographers to intern for the rest of the year 2016, you can start now If available. This hands-on internship will be on location shooting red carpet events (interviews/broll). This is a news style type of shooting, fast pace. This is good for candidates to get more experience, add to resume, master your skills. Interns will have an opportunity to network, make new friends, see your fave celebs,etc.
This internship is UNPAID but you will get a flat payment of 20.00 us dollars per event to cover gas/parking ,etc (any other expense during internship is sole responsibility of the intern)
***Only accepting students from journalism, media, film and tv, specially for the ones who are willing to work on tv or be camera operators at entertainment outlets.
Responsibilities-Operate video camera at red carpet events (We use Panasonic HVX200A for interviews and broll - please do some research on this camera) - We only use monopod or handheld or shoulder rest. No tripods due to space on carpet. Best if you can shoot handheld with no shaking.
- Gear will be provided for you to go to red carpets. You are welcome to use your own gear too if it fits what we need.
-You will go to celebrity red carpet events with a reporter to shoot interviews and sometimes yourself only to shoot broll behind photo pen using a a two-step ladder for fashion/arrival shots.
***You will be trained for 1-2 days first before going to red carpets
Requirements-Be enrolled in college for internship. If not in college but you recently graduated, then you are welcome to apply.
-You need to live in Los Angeles for this internship. Traffic in LA is always busy and events usually begin at 5pm til 8pm so If you are free these times then feel free to apply.
-Be available 1-2 times a week, some weeks on-call.
-Be committed to at least 3 months - Optional to stay longer.
-Be reliable, never be late, always on-time, no traffic excuses, drama-free, eager to learn and professional at all times.
-You can not bring friends, family,etc to red carpets. We only get 1 or 2 credentials per event.
