Description

According To Candace Ray is an up and coming urban, variety online magazine/media site. With topics like local and national news (yes gentleman, sports included), celebrity news, fashion, hair and beauty, health, fitness, sex and relationships, the site has everything the 18-35 age group needs to get through life. The position starts unpaid but has the potential for growth. Our publication is fun, trendy, and relatable while featuring important and controversial issues. We are looking for the following:
• Fantastic writer with a fun, conversational and trendy tone of writing
• Friendly, thorough and detail-oriented (i.e. we do not want to be cleaning up your grammar mistakes for you)
• Creative and versatile with topics
• Free to contribute At least 2 posts every week (posts do not have to be lengthy and can be a video or text post)
• Familiarity with various social media outlets
• Ability to share and promote links to the website

Responsibilities

You are responsible to check in with the editor to make sure that your topic is relevant and original. The submission of the article has to be on time and prompt as there will be deadlines to meet. The editor will require bi-weekly check ins for progress reports, topic strategies, and writer comfort.

Requirements

The potential contributing writer is required to have full knowledge of the subject in which they are writing for and the latest updates in that category. 2 articles per week are an absolute requirement. Content does not (and should not) be lengthy so 2 articles per week is very possible among other responsibilities.
