DescriptionWe're 5:55 Society, a benefit LLC and new kind of digital media publisher that creates engaging multiplatform content for how millennials really live and gives back to families in the process.
We're looking for an intern for one of our media websites. Are you a trend-setter or adventure seeker who has an insatiable curiosity, cares about your community, stays on top of the latest headlines and never veers too far from a data signal or Wi-Fi? Then this is the internship for you.
- Receive feedback from your supervisor on each assignment and participate in weekly video chats to answer your burning questions about the media industry
- Be given a chance to develop projects of your choice, to be completed under professional supervision
- Get a chance to apply your coursework to real professional situations
- Develop a beat
- Build a portfolio
Interns who perform well over the course of the internship will also get a LinkedIn recommendation.
ResponsibilitiesInterns will write daily morning news briefs and conduct research for articles and Web series. Intern may be asked to transcribe interviews. Other projects will be assigned based on the intern's skills and interests.
