Do you have a passion for Wedding trends in Northeast Ohio? Today’s Bride has an internship open for this fall semester for a journalism major who is in ”LOVE” with Weddings to develop content for our publications – Today’s Bride and Lovebook as well as blogs, newsletters, social media and other print materials.

About Today’s Bride:

From the beginning in 1989, Today's Bride has been a frontrunner in the wedding industry. We revolutionized publishing by having one of the first wedding websites in the nation in the early 90's. These days, Todaysbride.com averages more than 35,000 unique visitors and 103,000 page views per month. For a niche Northeast Ohio market, these numbers are huge and contribute to our overall success.

Today's Bride Magazine is our other labor of love. It's an annual publication with two editions: Cleveland and Akron/Canton. The things we love about the magazine are the things you'll come to appreciate, too -- the jumbo 9 ½ x 12" format, a modern layout, articles for every stage of planning, as well as a detailed wedding planner that many local brides find useful.

Today's Bride is widely recognized as the area's most experienced and respected wedding show producer -- with nearly 7,000 brides and more than 500 businesses attending annually. We produce six shows per year in April, July, August, October and January.

Requirements

*Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, English, business communications, or communication arts.

*Become familiar with Today’s Bride and have a passion for Weddings

*Possess a strong desire to keep up with the latest wedding trends

*Write and edit Today’s Bride content such as blogs, magazine articles, emails, contracts, marketing materials and surveys - will require strong writing, editing and proofreading skills.

*Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Adobe Suites as well as WordPress and blogs

*Internet savvy, including an understanding of and familiarity with social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, and LinkedIn.

*Confident in correcting errors in spelling, punctuation, grammar and context

*Adhere to deadlines provided

*Support team members through fact checking, research, writing and editing

*Administration skills will be necessary

*High Level of attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

*Self-motivated with the ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently

*Experience with photography and videography is a plus
