Tell History (tellhistory.com) is a new website dedicated to the democratizing of history. Our platform makes it easy for anyone to build a digital legacy, and together we are making a radically new history of the world--one based on the stories and experiences of ordinary people.

We offer our interns genuinely interesting, fun, and rewarding work. Their primary responsibility is to identifying interview subjects and recording their stories. These stories will be shared on the Tell History platform and the intern will receive public credit for each video produced.

Candidates will work remotely and the hours are flexible. Technical skills are much less important than interviewing experience, intellectual curiosity, and an interest in history. Driven and talented candidates may have the opportunity to join the Tell History team full time.

-Interns must be prepared to participate in online trainings and company meetings with our staff in Europe
-Candidates should be prepared to work a minimum of 8 hours per week. The work is flexible and results oriented
-Interns must have the initiative to seek out interview candidates--people who have interesting stories to tell--and be comfortable recording them telling these stories. The journalistic drive to collect interesting stories is perhaps the single most important trait we look for
-Interns will work with Tell History tools to edit and upload recordings, create story pages, giving each story titles, descriptions, tags, and subtitles.

-This internship is most suitable to candidates with a background in journalism, history, or film production
-Candidates preferably have undergraduate or graduate degrees in related subjects.
Technology requirements:
-Candidates must have regular computer access to Skype, FaceTime, or Google Hangouts in order to communicate with our team
-They must have basic recording equipment (even a smartphone)

Preferred - WordPress, Journalism, Video Editing
