Description

Music for Good promotes musicians and the good causes they care about most. It features interviews with top musicians and bands about their music and the work they do with various non-profits & good causes. It also brings bands, brands and non-profits together to work on mutually beneficial campaigns and events. This internship requires a minimal time commitment -- roughly 5 hours/week.

*Please note that this position involves working remotely, so applicants can be located anywhere in the United States or the UK.

Interested candidates should send a resume, two writing samples you're most proud of (links are fine) and a brief message explaining why you'd like to be a writer for Music for Good.

Responsibilities

Music for Good is looking for an intern to write about the convergence of music, activism and good causes. You'll be writing about benefit concerts and compilations, covering occasional shows, conducting occasional interviews with bands about the good causes and non-profits they support, and more. You'll be writing approximately one story a week (350-600 words).

Requirements

-Excellent writing skills
-Good proofreading skills
-Previous journalism experience preferred
-Passion for music & good causes
-Motivated self-starter
-Creative and friendly
-Detail-oriented and highly organized
-Access to a computer with internet access
