Description

The Good Weekend is a startup based out of Huntington Beach, CA that is looking to connect conscious consumers with ethical brands. We are launching our first "Good Weekend" this July in West Hollywood. We are pre-launch right now and building out our website, etc. Feel free to check out our preliminary site at www.thegoodweekend.com. Responsibilities

-Blog editorial content for The Good Weekend
-Conduct interviews with social good companies and non-profits across the country
- Assist with editorial projects and provide support to the Communications Editor.
- Proofreading electronic files, basic copyediting, and writing
- Assisting with or proofing of basic ads, flyers, brochures, invitations, etc.
- Work on special projects, as needed

Requirements

- Working towards or completed a Bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, English, business communications, or communication arts.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with keen attention to detail and exemplary writing skills
- Knowledge of MS Office applications, especially Word
- Experience/interest in Wordpress
- Photoshop knowledge a plus
