DescriptionFounded by renowned conservationist, Susan Rockefeller, ProtectWhatisPrecious.com (PWIP) is an emerging online platform that provides the inspiration, insight and tools to live with an environmental and humanitarian lens. ProtectWhatisPrecious.com creates and curates content across the categories of: Art, Style, Food, Advocacy and Musings with the objective of raising awareness and empowering action towards a more harmonious world for all.
*Please note that ProtectWhatisPrecious.com is currently on a freeze as we are working on the rebranding and redesign of the site. Interns have the opportunity to be involved in the development and growth of the new platform and will be regarded as key members of the team upon the site's relaunch.
ResponsibilitiesFrom a journalistic standpoint, PWIP interns who create original content will be published under their own byline on the site and will have the opportunity to receive college credit as well as attend exclusive events and experiences on the brand’s behalf. Depending on individual availability, journalism interns will be required to write a certain amount of original stories per day or per week under the guidance of the site's Senior Editor and Brand Manager.
Public relations, social media and brand marketing interns will work one-on-one with the Brand Manager to brainstorm, strategize and implement innovative story ideas, social media messaging and key media placements for both Susan Rockefeller and Protect What is Precious.
RequirementsPWIP is now seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to work alongside the Brand Manager in the relaunch of the PWIP website, specifically in regards to writing and aggregating relevant content and growing the brand’s digital presence.
Our ideal applicant is sharp, enthusiastic and well organized, with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude. Although we will consider applications from all majors, relevant industry course-work and professional experience in the realms of journalism, public relations, and branding are preferred.
