Description

Word Stylist is a content marketing company that works with small businesses in the Virginia area to develop their content strategy and communicate effectively with their audience. We work with our clients to develop blogs, social media content, newsletters, email marketing, website content and eBooks.

We are looking for interns to work with us to meet the needs of our growing client base. In addition to working on client projects, you will assist us in developing internal marketing to include social media management, email marketing, blogging and video marketing. You will also attend local area creative and networking events.

The company is planning to hire freelance writers to work on their team. Should your internship experience prove favorable, you may be considered as a paid freelance writer for our team.

Responsibilities

Interns will be working independently so it is important that you are accountable able to self-direct. You will be given weekly assignments to manage and will communicate with your manager on a weekly basis via phone, Skype or email. Must be able to attend meetings twice a month to game plan and review projects. Day to day activities will vary depending upon weekly assignment. Activities will include: social media management, email marketing, business development, editing, article writing and light administrative duties.

Requirements

We are seeking college students with coursework in Communications, Journalism or Marketing.
Must love to write and be a creative thinker.
