629 Media is a social media management and graphic design company located in Lower Manhattan. We are currently seeking 1-2 interns to assist with our client's social media campaign, which seeks to promote renewable energy. This candidate must be able to find relevant online articles, put together social media calendars, transcribe interviews, and adhere to deadlines.

Additionally, our online magazine, Big City Little Blog, needs a strong writer to contribute content, attend events, review products, conduct interviews, and assist in day to day tasks. Big City Little Blog is an emerging online magazine run by two bicoastal sisters. It is aimed at foodies, fashionistas, and fitness junkies- promoting a beautifully balanced lifestyle. We have worked with outstanding brands like Teavana, SkinnyGirl, Women's Health, Maker's Mark, and Champion and receive over of 5,000 unique views each month. We also have a collective social media following of over 10,000.

These positions boast flexible hours and a remote working environment, with the ability to meet in person on a weekly basis.


- Attend and help cover various fashion, fitness, and culinary events in New York City.
- Assist with interviews, product reviews, and more.
- Proofreading both hard and electronic files and basic copyediting
- Work on special projects, as needed

- Create social media content calendars using Excel
- Schedule social media content on Facebook and Twitter
- Research articles and areas of interest
- Assist with interviews, write original content,
- Proofreading both hard and electronic files and basic copyediting
- Work on special projects, as needed


- Strong organizational and communication skills with keen attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Knowledge of MS Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience/interest in social media with STRONG copywriting capabilities
- Must have your own laptop/computer and be able to work remotely
- Familiarity with the Adobe Suite is a plus
- Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, English, business communications, public relations, or communication arts is a plus
- Photography and/or photo editing skills is a plus (especially if you own a camera)
