DescriptionDebtwire Municipals is seeking a municipal bond reporting intern to join our Fort Lauderdale-based team.
The intern will be involved in content curation, reporting and writing real-time stories on municipal credits experiencing signs of stress, distress or in need of financial restructuring.
Applicants should have a genuine interest in the municipal market and the ability to absorb information quickly. Ability to read and write in Spanish, as well as financial reporting experience is a plus.
Applicants should be comfortable writing under tight deadlines.
We also highly encourage reporting and writing original, bylined articles on the finances of hospitals, stadiums, or other bond-issuing entities.
Applicants must commit to a minimum of 14 hours per week. Spring/Fall internships are part-time. Summer internships are full time. The internship is paid position. To apply, please send your resume and writing clips to firstname.lastname@example.org

ResponsibilitiesDuties may include:
1. Writing hospital quarterly financial reports for our Hospital Watch coverage. Offer ideas for how to expand our hospital coverage.
2. Writing the weekly red flag report, a bylined article about situations that Debtwire Municipals doesn¹t yet actively follow, but may present investment opportunities or highlight investment risks for our readers.
3. Reading the Spanish-language Puerto Rico papers on a daily basis and flagging articles that may affect the commonwealth¹s finances or bonds. Writing summaries of some of those articles.
