DescriptionSymphonic Distribution focuses on offering services tailored for independent record labels & artists, such as digital music distribution, promotion, mastering, sync licensing, publishing administration, design, web services and more.
We are looking for passionate individuals who are interested in joining our team as a music news writer for the Symphonic blog.
This position will be completely virtual with main communication through email, so you can do this internship from anywhere. We may occasionally communicate via Skype if needed.
ResponsibilitiesWriters will be responsible for researching & writing several news stories every week. Each news story will typically be 250 words or less and will revolve around the music industry.
This position requires someone who is online frequently throughout the day, as you will need to be on top of breaking music news and be able to act quickly. News stories may include announcements of tours, festivals, music technology, albums and other industry-related news.
Requirements- Passionate about the music industry and its inner workings
- Knowledgable about trending topics within the industry
- Excellent grammar, spelling and punctuation skills are a must. Knowledge of AP Style is a plus, but not required.
- Flexible availability and quick turnaround times
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
