Description

At Southern Pacific Review we are looking to grow our reporting on Chile. Currently we publish some articles on Chile and publish poems, short stories, and film reviews but not enough articles on Chile. At first you would just be reading the news and writing summaries. But what I would like is someone who has the drive to be able to go beyond that and go out and do some interviews and write some analysis once you learn something about current events here. For example we are writing on corruption now. That's a long-term proposition of not much interest to the tourist, but we are not targeting the tourist market nor are we just looking for Google rankings. We are non-profit anyway so quality is what we want and not quantity.

Work from home, work wherever. Come here or stay in the USA. It does not matter. I just need 1 article per day. If you want to come here, you can come on a tourist visa. Come 6 months and go home. Or stay here and look for a full-time job. There are more opportunities for you here than in the USA anyway. So come and add "foreign correspondent" to your CV.

Requirements

Must be able to read Spanish and write English well. If you can speak Spanish that is good, but you will not understand Chilean Spanish very well anyway until you have spent some time here so that does not matter.

If you are not a reader please do not apply. One people who read can write well.

Skills

Required - Basic Spanish
