Description

BaltimoreGamer is seeking a talented Podcast Producer / Journalist to join our audio team in producing engaging podcasts and overseeing audio production needs. This is a job for journalists and storytellers above all.

We’re looking for strong storytellers — people who have a passion for telling stories about everything BaltimoreGamer covers: Games, technology, gaming culture, indie developers, startups companies.

As a podcast producer intern, you will be embedded within our studio team, managing at minimum 4+ weekly podcasts — pre-production through publish — and assisting our directors with audio mix, sound design, sourcing music, and field sound operating / mixing. Enthusiasm, willingness to travel, an ability to juggle multiple projects, and initiative to kick-start projects is a must.

Responsibilities

Write, edit, and produce podcasts on a range of subjects covered by BaltimoreGamer
Process and edit various feeds and audio reports
Short- and long-form audio editing
Assist the audio team with audio mixing and sourcing music
Other production duties as assigned

Requirements

Experience in producing and editing podcasts and sound operating / engineering
Strong storytelling capabilities
Ability to quickly turn around content in fast-paced setting
Great understanding of studio and field microphones
Experience in Logic, Pro Tools, Audition, and/or equivalent audio editing software
Ability to conceptualize and develop new podcast shows
