Description** This is a virtual internship, so you don't have to be local to the NJ/NY area! **
Do you spend most of your time talking about sports with your friends? Do you have a myriad of information and statistics stored in your head on everything from college level to professional sports? Do you play a sport? Do you like to write or make videos/podcasts??
If you answered yes to any of these questions, you are exactly who we are looking for. Apply to our internship to be one of the first contributors of a new sports news website, Baseline Sports Network. The catch? You don't have to be a journalist or article-writing wizard. We want all of our content to feel real, like a regular chat with your friends. We want you to write it how you would say it, and we want you to share your love for the world of sports like we do. Whether you
re explaining how a sport works, or you're writing a breakdown of the latest game, OR you even want to give some health/wellness advice, we will have a spot for you.
Responsibilities- Your responsibilities will mainly include the creation of content
-- Content will mostly include articles related to sports, we will discuss college level, professional level, and club level. Also we will be happy to host articles on wellness like sports medicine and health/fitness
- Social media outreach
- Helping on strategy to get more contributors and grow our network
Requirements- Our number one requirement is that you have a passion for sports.
- Enjoy writing, discussing the latest sports news, and maybe video production
- Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, English, business communications, or communication arts is a plus, but is not necessary.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with keen attention to detail and problem solving skills
