DescriptionDo you love writing and have an interesting in music, fashion, food, sports or fitness? ProPlayerInsiders is looking for aspiring writers and anyone interested in writing unique sports lifestyle content. This is a great opportunity for aspiring journalists to gain experience and exposure.
We offer a peek into professional sports player’s personal lives and what matters to them, on and off the football field, as well as a look at the latest health and style trends, technology, art, music, movies and much more.
We are looking for stories on: Cheerleaders, Player profiles, book/movie/music reviews, interviews w DJ's and musicians, Community and Giving Back, Fashion Writer Men’s, Fashion Writer Women’s, & other lifestyle topics.
Here are some of the regular activities that we would be looking for students to work on:
• Rewrite stories from other sources on a timely basis on a firm deadline
• Write assigned feature pieces of 500+ words on various OFF THE FIELD topics
• Opportunities for top performers to conduct interviews and attend events.
• Social Media (twitter and facebook)
We are currently offering the opportunity for top notch self motivated writers to work with us to consistently produce creative, well written, and unique feature content.
Writers are expected to research and write in depth articles well, consistently, and independently.
Our best performing writers are sometimes given opportunities for access to local games, events, and personal interviews with players in person or over the phone.
Hours are flexible and virtual; some writers contribute several times a week while others do a couple columns a month. We are committed to give interns feedback and real world experience to help them grow and understand the sports and communication market.
Credit or non-credit internships available but credits must be arranged by the student with their school adviser.
