Description

Rise News is a globally focused grassroots journalism organization that seeks to become the defining news and information source for the millennial generation. We cover original stories on the ground in many communities across the world with a heightened focus on politics, culture and smart opinion pieces meant to challenge the status quo and fight against lazy “narratives” that too often pervade our media. We are inclusive, intellectual and accessible. Rise News is a bet on our generation. We believe that our peers are looking for something different but just don’t know it yet.
We believe in storytelling and that the pursuit of truth should be the foremost goal for those in public life. We also deeply believe in the power of our generation and that we need a vibrant free press in all corners of the Earth. Through this internship, you will learn more about the power of journalism while gaining valuable work experience in a fun team atmosphere. We are selective in who we pick to join our team but we want everyone who is interested to apply. No prior experience is required.
If selected, one will become a member of the writing team and will begin working immediately.
