DescriptionBUZZ ON BROAD is a growing Sports Website that has press credentials to three of the four major Philadelphia sports teams. The site has been recently purchased and we are looking to expand off of a dedicated base of fans. There will be an expanded base of topics and a newsletter to distribute around transportation hubs. The first and most important thing is to get a talented group of people to write.
• Edit and publish articles as assigned
• Create and update monthly editorial agenda during weekly meetings
• Research story ideas and write to assigned markets
• Be able to blog about written articles if they generate interest
Education or Equivalent: (Minimum required to perform job)
You must submit an article for our team to review. The articles are meant to be insightful, quirky or state related. We are not looking for “go extreme or super negative.” We want you to use your skill not a lowest common denominator.
Knowledge/Skills Requirements: (List unique knowledge skills, or problem-solving requirements)
Should be proficient in MS Word, Word Press, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Excellent communication skills
Must work well in a team-oriented environment
Ability to meet deadlines while working on multiple, parallel projects
RequirementsPosition Requirements: Specific Duties, Activities, and Responsibilities:
BUZZ ON BROAD is seeking creative and unique individuals to develop, edit and publish sports and pop culture articles for our Website and Newsletter. The Sports related writers will be sent to designated games from Philadelphia’s major sports teams to sit in the press box and report on the nightly games. The remaining articles will be deadline driven with content of interest to the Philadelphia sports public.
The Pop Culture writers will be given deadlines on up to four to twelve articles a month to be placed on the Website and Newsletter. There will be weekly brainstorming session in which you will be required to brainstorm and create ideas for yourself and the team.
