DescriptionHEROSports.com, a sports media platform built for every collegiate athletics department -- every sport, gender, and division, is looking for broadcast journalism students interested in being campus correspondents. In this role, you will write/produce/edit/report the top-stories about your school’s athletic programs. You’ll interview the coaches, players, fans, and share their stories with a national audience. Most importantly, your work will be featured on our national platform and seen by our large audience of fans and industry insiders.
Additionally, we offer coaching from some of the top people in sports media -- people with years of experience at ESPN, CBS Sports, MLB.com, Sports Illustrated, and more who know what it takes to climb the ladder in this business. We are also happy to work with your schools to give you course credit.
Our video producers and reporters are tasked with capturing the dynamic elements of the games, events, and personalities they cover. Whether you prefer to work in front of the camera or behind it, our producers are talented editors who know how to transform a good story into an exceptional production.
RequirementsVideo producers will be responsible for submitting at least 2 minutes worth of video each week. The 2 minutes can be spread across multiple clips, with the minimum clip length being 30 seconds. All pieces should be submitted in a publishable format, and feature a standup / intro and a combination of sound on tape, voiceovers and interviews.
