You have a passion for writing - Know a blog would be great direction for you --however you don't have the blog management time You can write and you can prove it. Community Spot blog--Serious writing credentials like degrees and publication records are considered and respected. Critical topics Housing/ Homelessness/ Sustainable Income/Violence Against Women/ Equitable Living--- ( Local level issues are reflected throughout our country ) our message is for positive change. You are passionate about bringing written issues to life from ideation all the way through publication.

You can identify appropriate topics, experts, and stories to pursue, and you have the ability to craft excellent content from them. example topics Housing, Empowerment, Homeless, Crime & Safety, Technology, Seniors, Community, Development,Youth,

You can write from within (and develop) a brand voice.
You have significant experience blogging and contributing to social media campaigns.
You are a fast learner and can quickly verse yourself in the nuances of new topic

Responsibilities

Be committed to the blog --Supporting positive change through journalism--with solution based research

Requirements

1. College 1-2 years we solely judge the content of the articles and not their previous exploits.

2. Have impeccable English skills.

3. Write compelling articles by including analysis of statistics, current events, and other economic or political conundrums. Be solution based

4. Be familiar with our citation style.

5. Be critical of your sources. Validate your point by cross-referencing and using highly credible sources (Breitbart or ThinkProgress won't do).

As you'd be a contributing writer, you'd be compensated through recognition, rather than monetary benefits.
